What are Brain Waves? 

Brain waves are fascinating.  

They are not physical, rather a measure of the amount of activity going on inside the brain. 

We measure brain waves with advanced technology like electroencephalograms (EEG for short).  The EEG monitors the electro-chemical activity produced by the brain in cycles per second or Hertz (Hz).  The measurements are known as 'frequencies' and displayed by the EEG in the form of waves on a monitor - hence the name 'brain waves'.

It is during this stage, where your body is in a deep relaxation, however your mind is still aware of it's surroundings.

Delta Brain Waves (1 - 4 Hz)
